Polish DJ & Producer TEKNO was born in Germany in 1984. Being raised in Cologne, the hometown of Cosmic Gate, it was only a matter of time until he started listening to Trance & Progressive. Since 2008 he has studied the art of DJ’ing and was able to improve his skills while spinning at several college parties and the local club Re-Lax.
In 2009 he opened his own studio with MCO, ILOCO and Patrick van Budde. Consequently this was the place where he and his team spent endless hours DJ’ing, producing and debating about how to bring back Trance to Germany. Seeing an opportunity in the German Music industry TEKNO and his team decided in 2010 to start their own trance-event called ‘Save Our Souls’, which focused on Trance & Progressive sounds and thus quickly gained popularity in Cologne’s clubbing scene.
TEKNO’s biggest talent is creating mashups, edits and reworks that made their way to the best events in the World like Sunrise Festival (PL), Nature One (DE), Atlantis (AUS), ASOT (NL) & ASOT Festival at Ultra Music Festival (USA). He received continuous support from artists like Mark Sixma, Judge Jules, Heatbeat, E&G, Coldharbour’s Mr. Pit, Grube & Hovsepian, Klauss Goulart, as well as ’Future Focus’ Ernesto vs Bastian and Aerofoil.

In December 2012 TEKNO signed his first single ‘Save Our Souls Anthem’ on High Contrast Recordings, being featured on the ‘High Contrast presents Dennis Sheperd’ compilation. In August 2013 the single-release of the Save Our Souls Anthem hit the stores including a fantastic remix by Aerofoil. The Anthem consequently received amazing support by No.1 DJ Armin van Buuren, Rank1, Lange, tyDi, Faruk Sabanci, RAM, Dennis Sheperd, Cold Blue, Skytech and even Coldharbour-founder Markus Schulz. In February 2014 the follow up single ‘Two Faces’ was released on FF Records, a dutch label owned by Ernest van de Meij, who’s been part of the famous duo Ernesto vs Bastian for over a decade. ‘Two Faces’ once again received huge support from Lange, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Aerofoil, E&G and many more.

After 4 years of hosting his Save Our Souls event-brand and bookings at the famous Nature One Festival, So Get Up with Cosmic Gate, Trance.Mission with Ruben De Ronde and Pedro Del Mar, as well as headlining Trance in Düsseldorf’s first edition, it seems clear that TEKNO knows his way of mixing very well. In 2014 TEKNO started an unique festival concept in co-operation with HeavensGate, Save Our Souls, Trance.Mission, #TranceFamily Germany and Spirit of the 90s. The LEGENDARY Festival featured more than 30 DJs on 4 Areas and was broadcasted live across the world via Afterhours.fm.

Few months later, LEGENDARY striked back and hosted a club-event with Markus Schulz, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and Woody van Eyden. Moreover, LEGENDARY was invited to host a stage at the famous NATURE ONE Festival which gathered 65.000 ravers on 23 floors.

Feeling it was time for a change as things got a whole lot bigger over the years, a new brand was born – AWAKE – is already a name to look out for in the Trance Scene with the comeback of ATB & Markus Schulz as well as headliners such as the Trance Gods Aly & Fila, Ferry Corsten, Mark Sixma and Paul Van Dyk sharing the stage with TEKNO in the DJ MAG #15 (2017) Bootshaus in Cologne.

Last year was a fantastic one for TEKNO, spinning at several AWAKE events and releasing ‘Big Keys’ which was supported by Aly & Fila, Roman Messer and selected as ‘Track of the Month’ by the legendary German duo Kyau & Albert. Having released his Psy-Trance collaboration with DJ T.H. ‘Ama Nama’ early this year, TEKNO earned already the support from artists such as Alex M.O.R.P.H., Photographer, Woody van Eyden, Artento Divini and Paul van Dyk. With some of the best gigs to date already aligned for this year 2018 is definitely looking like a massive year!

Currently, TEKNO is heading back to the studio where new tracks are being lined up, a set of new mashups to rock your dancefloor and amazing new collaborations for the future. Watch out for “The King of Mashups” (as Aerofoil has named him) because TEKNO’s energy-filled sets stand out due to an intense amount of long-forgotten classic tunes revived by self-produced mashups and bootlegs. You will certainly witness a new feeling of surprise, as those classics climax in banging basslines pushing the crowd to go crazy!
